Which HydroPick should I get?
If afropicks are already in your hair routine - then we recommend getting the SKU that's most similar to what you have (if you're used to using metal - stick with metal)! But if you're still having trouble deciding on the right SKU for you, here's our quick guide:
HydroPick/HydroPick Metal: We recommend for those mainly using their HydroPick for water. HydroPick Metal tends to be better for those with thick, coily textured hair, while those with curly hair or looser curls may have a better experience with the HydroPick.
HydroPick Mini/HydroPick Floral: We recommend for those mainly using their HydroPick for oil. HydroPick Mini and Floral are amazing accessories for all hair types, but especially great for those with beards and looser curls.
What is the HydroPick material made of?
A BPA free and corn-starch based plastic, called PLA, or polylactic acid.
How do you clean a HydroPick?
Take any brush with thin bristles, insert these bristles into the middle three teeth of the HydroPick to help dislodge any debris that's clogging the product. You can also fill the hydration pod with soapy water, squeeze the pod to allow the water to flow through each channel, and your product is all clean! For visual instructions check out this video.
Can I use a HydroPick for hot oil treatments?
We do not recommend inserting hot liquids into the hydration pod or submerging the pod into hot water.
Can HydroPicks hold thicker conditioners and gels?
At this moment, our products are best used for serums, waters, oils and other products with similar viscosities. Our users do like to mix their conditioners with some water in a bottle, and fill their HydroPick with this combo!
